The State of Colorado requires all facilities over 50,000 SF to meet energy use intensity and GHG emission reduction targets by 2030. Our webinar series explores various technical approaches that hospitals can take to save energy and GHG emissions. This month’s session will discuss controls upgrades as a means to improve mechanical system performance and reduce energy consumption.

  In August’s webinar, we will discuss the following learning objectives:

  1. Discuss the influence that building controls has on energy consumption in healthcare facilities
  2. Discuss maintenance issues that affect the operation of building controls
  3. Discuss specific energy efficiency strategies related to controls in mechanical systems.
  4. Provide case studies for controls projects.

    It is vital to prioritize electrical safety in mission-critical facilities, particularly when it comes to using Lithium-Ion batteries in UPS systems. The consequences of mishandling them can be catastrophic, ranging from property damage to serious injury or even loss of life. Join us to dive into the world of UPS systems and battery safety. By the end of this session, you'll have all the knowledge you need to use these batteries safely and avoid potential hazards.

  • • Jeffrey Engelstad P.E. MBA – Electrical Engineer
    • Jeff has 14 years of industry experience and has been with Encore for the last 8 years. He has worked on new construction and expansion projects for several hospitals across the front range including Littleton Adventist Hospital, UC Health, Centura HealthQuest, Vail Health, Children’s Hospital, and many more. He leads the Encore Engineering team to support complex design issues and provides constructability reviews to align design efforts with construction activities. He is also a well-versed trainer for the Encore Electric craftspeople via Encore University. For the past six years, Jeff has taught the Healthcare Certification Class (NEC 517 and NFPA 99), Grounding and Bonding, One Line, and Engineering Short Circuit-Coordination-Arc Flash Studies for Encore University.

  • Sam Harrison – Senior Account Manager – LEED AP
  • Sam has been in the electrical construction industry for more than 35 years and with Encore Electric for 18 of those years. A great deal of his experience is focused on Healthcare facilities large and small across the Rocky Mountain region. Sam focuses his time and energy on providing preventative maintenance recommendations and solutions to electrical challenges for customers ensuring their facilities run efficiently and downtime emergencies are minimized so they can remain focused on their patients.

• Inaugural CAHED Sporting Clays Tournament

  We are excited to announce our first ever CAHED Sporting Clays Tournement! Come join your industry friends and colleagues for a fun day of shooting, clay busting, and relationship building.

  The event will kick off at 8am at Silver Creek Sporting Clays and will conclude with lunch and awards around 1PM. As this is our first time doing this, we are intentionally keeping this event on the smaller side and do expect to sell out so please plan accordingly! Online registration will open on July 8th and will be first come first served.

  No experience or license is necessary for clay shooting, however we recommend having at least one experienced shooter per group if possible. Gun rentals are available on location, and teams can share (at least 2 guns per group required). Gun rentals must be reserved in advance by calling Silver Creek.

  Eye and ear PPE is required for everyone.

  Date – Friday September 6th 8am

  Location – Silver Creek Sporting Clays

  Foursome Rate - $600. Includes ammunition and post event lunch.

  What you'll receive:
  

  A draped six foot table, with one foot on each side, allowing for eight feet total and a depth of five feet.

  One 5 amp drop for each booth.

  A TOTAL OF 2 name tags with your company’s name on them. If there are over 2 people from your company you would like to attend, they will need to register as regular attendees.

  Attendee list emailed the weekend before the event.

  Exhibit space is allotted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Space must be reserved on Eventbrite map sent out in your confirmation email in order to be reserved.
