Please join us for the next session in a series of webinars to discuss sustainability topics that affect the healthcare industry. The State of Colorado requires all facilities over 50,000 SF to meet energy use intensity and GHG emission reduction targets by 2030. This webinar will begin to explore strategies to upgrade existing mechanical and electrical systems to improve building energy efficiency.

Upgrading lighting systems is a major strategy for reducing annual energy costs and bringing healthcare facilities into compliance with greenhouse gas emissions reduction. This training session will touch on the following subjects.

  1. What are the typical types of lighting systems found in healthcare applications? What are the special considerations for applying lighting to healthcare facilities?
  2. Where are the opportunities to reduce energy consumption for lighting in healthcare?
  3. What are the opportunities to improve lighting design in various healthcare applications? How has lighting been misapplied?
  4. How about lighting controls? What are the best practices for applying controls in different healthcare applications?
  5. What are the economics around lighting upgrades? Is this always worth the investment?
  6. What special considerations need to be taken into account for installation in healthcare facilities?
  7. Provide case studies where lighting upgrades have provide better environments at reduced energy consumption.

This is free for members and $50 for non-members.
