Upcoming Career Opportunity: Director of Facilities Management | Hospital | Southeastern US

Galileo Search is preparing to initiate an exclusive search for a Director of Facilities Management on behalf of a respected acute care hospital system in the southeastern United States. This essential position is designed for a strategic-minded, hands-on professional committed to safety, compliance, sustainability, and operational efficiency in a complex healthcare setting. The selected candidate will be key in ensuring that the physical environment supports clinical excellence and patient comfort.

This position oversees facility operations for a 400+ bed acute care hospital and reports to the System Director of Facilities Management.

Position Snapshot:

  • Oversee budgeting, maintenance, purchasing, planning and other activities related to facilities management
  • Responsible for the safety and security of all individuals who utilize the facility, as well as supporting profitability and growth
  • Work with outside vendors and contractors, negotiating contracts and ensuring those entities deliver as agreed
  • Leadership for facility maintenance staff and other team members who perform daily facility operations
  • Support engineering, plant operations, life safety, environment of care, preventive maintenance, and regulatory compliance programs
  • Lead initiatives that ensure facility readiness, infrastructure reliability, energy efficiency, and compliance with TJC, CMS, OSHA, and local codes

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred 
  • Current background in hospital facilities management, including regulatory readiness and emergency preparedness
  • Extensive knowledge of building systems, maintenance protocols, and life safety codes
  • Familiarity with construction, architecture and various systems, such as HVAC and electrical
  • Demonstrated ability to support multi-disciplinary teams and manage capital improvement projects
  • Bachelor’s degree highly preferred; CHFM, CHC, or similar certifications desirable
  • Proven success in managing accredited acute care hospital facility environments

Project Manager | RLB

The Project Manager will maintain a primary focus on practice related services (management of the delivery of all project management related services) and a secondary focus on internal business operations (active engagement with business development, financial management, and staff development matters). Has significant independent responsibility for assignments including entire projects, or a portion of a project as determined by the project lead of office manager. The Project Manager should have the ability to identify opportunities within a project that will add value and help successfully accomplish the client’s desired project outcome.

Summary:
Provides advanced project management for planning, design and construction.

Work Schedule:
Full Time Days

Responsibilities:
Leads major capital projects, typically > $30M, and guides other project managers assigned, with overall responsibility for the successful management of the project scope, schedule, and budget.

Develops, implements, and manages strategies for competitive bidding and negotiating of complex contracts with architecture, engineering, and construction firms in order to meet project requirements and company policies.


Senior Director Facilities Management: UCHealth

The pay range for this position is: $144,872 - $231,795 / year. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience.

Provides leadership for system-wide facilities management. Collaborates with operational leaders, facilities management, and other support departments to oversee engineering, maintenance, and grounds across the entire UCHealth system.
