Fall Hike

Registration is closed

Lace up those hiking boots and join us for the fall CAHED hike Friday, October 7th. Turkey Trot Trail and a portion of the Castle Trail make a loop and are perfect for a quick, approachable hike close to Denver. Only 3 miles round trip and there are just enough steep parts to make it feel like a workout, but not too difficult that families couldn’t enjoy it. Easy pace should complete the hike in less than 2 hours

From the Mt. Falcon East Trailhead, starts with views of Red Rocks and then the higher you climb the more of Denver you can see. And there’s some shade! As you’re getting back into Mount Falcon Park you get a bit of a break from the sun through the trees and a few glimpses of the mountains behind the park. Parking is free in the lot and dogs are allowed on leash.

LOCATION / PARKING INFO:

From I70 east take exit 260 CO-470 E/Hwy470 E toward CO Springs. At 4.4 miles take the Morrison Rd Exit, keep right at the fork and turn left onto CO 8 (US285/Fairplay). Turn right on Forest Ave ad take the first right onto Vine St. Parking and Trailhead is at the end of this road

DATE: October 7th, 2022

TIME: 12:30 PM Meet-Up/Networking; 1:00 PM Hike Starts; 3:00 PM Apres Hike (location TBD)
