CAHED members,
Election Time In 1789 George Washington was elected President in the first ever United States Presidential election. Since that time, the honor, duty and right to vote has been both fiercely contested and defended. As a US citizen I passionately believe in the duty to vote and feel honored to have that right.
On Sunday, August 1st ASHE opened the online polls for members to vote for the 2011 President Elect and Regional Directors (Regions 1, 2, 4, 5, and 9). Active, dues-paying professional members, associate members, positional members, lifetime and retired members can cast their vote electronically with the click of mouse.
Our very own David L. Howard (CAHED President Elect) is running for ASHE President Elect. I can not think of any bigger honor than to have another CAHED member be elected to ASHE’s highest post. Online voting is open until Friday, September 3rd. Please join me selecting David as our next ASHE leader. All you need is your ASHE membership number to log in.
In addition to the ASHE elections, the CAHED elections will take place during the business meeting at the Autumn Seminar September 16th and 17th in Steamboat Springs. Please join me choosing the future leaders of CAHED. |
